Average - I haven't tasted a Stone beer I didn't like since I tried their Saison 3-4 years ago. And when I say "I tried their Saison", I mean I accidentally bought an entire case of it from Costco. I've never been more generous with my beers - friends, neighbors, everyone got a bottle.
But this Red X IPA is a Grade IP...B. Wouldn't get this again. Smooth, okay flavor, has the bitterness but not the hops, maybe a hoppy aftertaste. They got the red color right though.
